Choosing the Best Blackjack Supplies
When an individual thinks about blackjack supplies the first things that come to mind are poker chips and playing cards. These are most definitely two of the most important blackjack supplies needed, but there are a few others that may and often do go unnoticed. Which other items make the dealer’s job easier?
There is the rack that holds the cards for ease of dealing them. This is called the dealing shoe. The dealing shoe holds 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 cards. These range in value from $10 to $20 each. Then there are the face cards. The value of face cards on a blackjack table starts at 10 and goes up in $1 increments. The most valuable card in the deck is the Ace which starts at 1. That’s the lowest value of face cards, followed by King, Queen, and Jack. There are four value cards and two hole cards per deck.
Of the many playing cards available, you may wonder which ones would be the best to play with. The Ace is the best of all the cards in the deck. It is the reason most card guards and screens change the value of their cards to intimidate the opponent. It is also the one that most often causes a player to bust. The Ace is also the most futile in a poker game as it is the card that completes your straight or your flush, but doesn’t make a good hand.
The next card in our list is the King. King is an all card, and when used as an Ace, it can also be used as the highest card in a sequence, so a King and Ace leads to a straight flush. That’s important, because the odds favor a strong hand when you have an Ace as the kicker.
Since the cards are the cards you will be playing against your opponents, it’s important to guard against spoilards. Such cards are any other card that would help your hand short of an Ace or King. These cards are often called ‘bait cards’, and once they are in the deck they can turn the game into a coin toss.
Let’s get back to understanding casino blackjack.
Most DewaGG blackjack supplies are traded in alive, but sometimes they go on ‘ journeys’. These are trips that lower the house edge in casino blackjack. trips not only lower the house edge, but they also increase a players edge, because the player is actually having better odds before the dealer checks his or her cards.
You can do your own counting, of course, but if you’re doing it at home, wouldn’t it be more reliable to use the odds the house has against you? Unless you’re just using a home blackjack game, you should always follow the basic strategy.
At a single deck game of blackjack, the house has a 0.35% advantage. At a two deck game, the house has a 0.5% advantage. Three deck games, though they have a 0.7% advantage, are more difficult to win at than four deck games. The reason for this is that the most frequently occurring card is the Ace. More often that not, the house will own the card.
4 decks, 0.35% house advantage
6 decks, 0.6% house advantage
8 decks, 0.8% house advantage
As you can see, you can play blackjack with a much better chance of winning if you play six deck games. The only exception to playing six deck games is with the addition of a ‘decks’ card. Every deck increases the house advantage by a small amount. The house still has a 0.35% edge on two deck games, but only has a 0.56% edge on a six deck shoe.
